Any person holding Master of Science degree in any branch of Science or Master of Arts degree in any branch of arts can join the Army Education Corps branch of Indian Army.

They usually provides educational training to troops of Indian Army.

The interested candidates can apply for this entry and are commissioned at Lieutenant rank after successfully completing their training.

The candidate can directly appear for interview.

Master Degree must be obtained with atleast 1st or 2nd division

What is 'TOUR of DUTY' ?

After getting so many requests, I am writing this blog. Kindly consider that all of the information mentioned in this post is not official. TOUR of DUTY(ToD) is a proposal yet and no notification has been released by army yet. Indian army is considering this proposal to enlist civilians to join Indian Army on a voluntary basis for a period of 3 years. It is just like internship which includes 1 year of training and 3 years of service in Indian Army. Proposed model of ToD is to be implemented on a trial basis by releasing 100 vacancies for Officer's Post and 1000 vacancies for Soldier's Post. If successful, vacancies would be increased.
