Escalation of tension between India & China: Xi Jinping directed 'Prepare for War' to Its armed forces

Amid increasing tension between India and China across Line of Actual Control(LAC) which is over 3,500 km long. Xi Jinping, President of China and General Secretary of Communist party of China while attending the meeting of delegations of People's Liberation Army(PLA) ordered the Chinese military to scale up the war preparedness . He directed armed forces to strengthen training of troops and to be ready for war amid rising tensions with US and India.As per Xi Jinping it is important to "Comprehensively strengthen the training of troops and prepare for war","resolutely safeguard national sovereignty" and "safeguard the overall strategic stability of the country.

Xi Jinping ordered the military to think about worst scenarios, scale up training and effectively deal with all sort of complex situations.

His Comments came in the backdrop of nearly 20-day standoff between India and China at 3500 km long de facto border at LAC. Several in Ladakh and North Sikkim have witnessed major military build up from both sides which is escalating the war like situation from both sides.

On the other side there is an increasing conflict between the US and China also. Frequent references of politicians and diplomats from US side over unifying taiwan and also the contoversies over the implementation of New Security law by China in Hong Kong is escalating a global issue.

Some days ago, China's top Diplomat Wang-Yi heavily criticized the US move on fabricating rumors and lies for blaming China over spread of COVID-19 Pandemic world wide. According to him, these issues are taking relations between countries over brink of a New Cold war. China-US military frictions are also on the rise with US Navy stepping in the disputed China sea as well as the Taiwan Straits. These issues are increasing tension between Washington and Beijing.

Also There is increasing tension between Russia-US relations over Libya issue. US is blaming the Moscow for sending the Mercenaries and warplanes to Libya to support General Khalifa Haftar which is long term security threat to Europe on the southern flank. What is 'TOUR of DUTY' ?

After getting so many requests, I am writing this blog. Kindly consider that all of the information mentioned in this post is not official. TOUR of DUTY(ToD) is a proposal yet and no notification has been released by army yet. Indian army is considering this proposal to enlist civilians to join Indian Army on a voluntary basis for a period of 3 years. It is just like internship which includes 1 year of training and 3 years of service in Indian Army. Proposed model of ToD is to be implemented on a trial basis by releasing 100 vacancies for Officer's Post and 1000 vacancies for Soldier's Post. If successful, vacancies would be increased.
