The meeting Between them lasted for almost an hour in which defence minister is briefed about the Indian response to the actions of Chinese troops and increasing mobilization in the Galwan Valley of Ladakh region.
The meeting followed the reports of the deployment of around 5000 Chinese Troops on the Chinese side of the disputed border.
The meeting concluded with the decision that the Road Construction by India will not be stopped and will continue. Also, Troop deployment will be increased according to the Chinese troop deployment in the region.This meeting took place in the New Delhi.
India has increased the troop deployment in the Pangong Tso and Galwan Valley region where Chinese deployment is around 2000-2500. Presence of Chinese troops around the sensitive Indian Posts like KM120 along the Darbuk-Shayok-Daulat Beg Oldie Road in Galwan is the issue of major concern for Indian Army. The conflict and stand-off started with the Objection from Chinese side on the Construction of road by India near the border in its territory. As per New Delhi however, conflicts started because of hindering of Indian patrol sites from Chinese side.
The military commanders of two sides are trying to the solve the issue at local and diplomatic level as per the reports. But, even after several rounds of talks between the military commanders have failed to end the deadlock between the troops on the both sides. Reportedly, at four locations along the LAC border troops on the both sides are in the eyeball-to-eyeball situation.
Last week Chief of Army Staff Gen. MM Naravane also visited the Ladakh region to take a review of the stock of situation near the Pangong Tso and the Galwan region where Chinese troops have ditched around 100 tents and has erected several temporary structures.
The news also reported of the deployment of Chinese Combat fighter jets likely J-11 or J-16 on the Border side inside the Chinese Territory as per the satellite images.
